assignment 1
Mary was able to read first grade text at an independent level. Out of the 20 words, she read 19 correct ( 17 identified and automatic and 2 identified) after evaluating her scores based on QRI6 I saw that Mary is able to read grade 1 text at an independent level.
assignment 2
Mary was able to read grade 2 text at an instructional level. Out of 20 words, she was able to identify 16 correctly. Mary did worse at the end of the assessment.
assignment 3
Mary read level 3 text at frustration level. She was able to identify 3 words correctly and stumbled on the rest. The teacher was smart and stopped before Mary would get frustrated and stumble on the whole thing. she then went on to teach level 2 text which Mary was able to read at instruction level.
assignment 4
Mary read pretty nicely grade 2 text. She received an accuracy rate of 93% making only 13 miscues and self corrected 1.5 of her mistakes. Mary read 46 WPM with 43/46 correct.
comprehension and recall
Mary had a difficult time recalling the exact details of the text yet was able to get the basic picture and main ideas. She also had a hard time keeping the place.
Mary made a few consistent mistakes when reading the passage like reading must instead of most and lived instead of live.
I also noticed that Mary tried using visual cues to identify some words.
